The Responsible Gambling Council respects the privacy of all individuals who visit the Centre. Your privacy is important to us.

 

Collection of Personal Information

We will keep a record of visits to the Centre, but we do not collect identifying personal information unless you choose to provide it.

We may collect personal information that you choose to provide, including such things as your name, address, and/or phone number.

 

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

 

We use your personal information for the following purposes only:

• to assist you and respond to your request(s);
• to conduct Check-in Call service, if you have registered for the service;
• to evaluate, plan and manage our internal operations; and
• to conduct anonymous research and compile anonymous statistics.

 

How We Protect Your Privacy

 We take steps to protect your personal information from theft, loss, unauthorized access, copying, modification, use, disclosure and disposal. Your personal information is administered in keeping with all applicable privacy laws. You have the right to the protection of and access to your personal information. We recognize that information security is an integral element of data privacy. Personal information that you provide to us is stored on our secure servers, and accessed and used by designated authorized employees, in accordance with our security policies and standards.

 

We will only disclose your personal information:

• if you authorize us to do so; or
• to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

 

We will not use or disclose your personal information for any commercial purposes.

 

What Happens if you Don’t Give us Your Information

You choose whether to access the services of the Centre. If you do not provide your consent for us to collect and/or use your personal information, we will not be able to offer you certain services, such as the Check-In Call service.
