As part of this year’s agenda, the CPZ is offering a variety of panel discussions that include some of the top minds from RGC.

RGC CEO Shelley White will share her expertise in the Safer Gambling Masterclass “Business Sustainability through Safer Gambling” on Tuesday, February 7th from 3:45 pm – 4:35 pm. The masterclass will share insights on how sustainability can be achieved through the use of safer gambling initiatives.

RGC Senior Researcher Dr. Melissa Salmon will be participating in the Integration of player analytics tools with operators’ customer data panel on Thursday, February 9th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Joined by colleagues from Mindway AI and Focal Research – be sure to stop by, you won’t want to miss this insightful conversation.

  • Shelley White, MA Chief Executive Officer

    Shelley White is one of Canada’s foremost visionary leaders, and has dedicated her life and career to empowering organizations that create better futures for thousands of people in their communities. In 2017, she became the new CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC).

    Over the last 30 years, Shelley has also held a variety of executive positions also in the non-profit sector for the country’s most recognized and trusted national institutions, including United Way, Kidney Foundation of Canada and the YMCA. Earning a reputation as a champion of social change, Shelley has received United Way Worldwide’s Common Good Award, the Queen’s Jubilee Award for outstanding achievement in voluntary service, Ontario’s Leading Women Building Communities Award, The Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) Champion Award, Volunteer MBC’s 2017 Bonnie Yagar Award for Community Engagement Leadership, and has been named one of Mississauga’s Top 10 Most Influential Leaders.

  • Tracy Parker Vice President of Policy, Standards and Accreditation

    Tracy Parker is a corporate social responsibility professional specializing in the design, implementation, communication and evaluation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs including strategic development, stakeholder engagement and reporting and communications. Her career has focused on how businesses take responsibility and manages the social and environmental impacts they create.

    Tracy’s most recent role was as Senior Manager, Policy & Social Responsibility at Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG), where she developed and executed strategy related to culture building, player education and responsible gambling policy.

  • Bob Michniak Associate Director, RG Check

    Bob Michniak is the Associate Director, Accreditation at RGC, responsible for the planning and delivery of the RG Check accreditation program. He, along with a team of Program Analysts, have accredited land-based venues and iGaming sites in jurisdictions across Canada and internationally.

  • Melissa Salmon, Ph.D. Senior Researcher

    Dr. Melissa Salmon is a Senior Researcher with the Centre for the Advancement of Best Practices at the Responsible Gambling Council. Melissa has specialized in the field of gambling studies for nine years, with a background in psychological research and knowledge mobilization to guide her work. Melissa leads primary and applied research initiatives to advance safer gambling practices, reduce gambling-related harm, and promote positive behaviour change among those experiencing harm. Melissa works with both national and international stakeholders in the gambling field, as well as leading internal and external evaluation activities with community partners.

    Amy Yu is a Senior Program Analyst at the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC). She works amongst a dedicated team of analysts to conduct RG Check accreditations for gaming operators around the world.
