Caleb, a young adult, is feeling the pressure of having to grow up—and all the decisions that come with it.
- How can his band save enough money to have a chance of making it in the music scene?
- Should he keep his job or go to college like his roommate Rafi?
- What can he do to show band mate Daniella he'd like to be more than just friends?
Feeling overwhelmed, Caleb zones out by playing online social games for hours at a time. And when his gamer friend Fiona introduces him to online gambling, he switches his focus to playing for real money in online poker games. His gambling gets out of control and he begins spending his rent and food money to play.
Caleb discovers that all of Fiona’s techniques, from betting with credit to cyber bullying her opponents, only create more stress in his life. Needing to get himself out of the hole he has dug, Caleb is hoping one big win will fix it all. In desperation, he eyes the money the band has saved up for performing in a music festival.
Will Caleb risk losing his relationships, self-respect and lifelong dreams? Or will he steer clear of betting with scared money?
