An awareness program organized in conjunction with many organizations across the province. The program is in its fourth successful implementation and continues to expand its multicultural reach. Within Limits is one of Canada’s largest problem gambling prevention programs to-date, reaching over 3 million households by featuring awareness displays, local advertising and activities, and informational inserts in local newspapers. Many organizations have a stake in reducing problem gambling including local counselling agencies, governments and gaming providers like casinos, racetracks and bingo halls. The Within Limits interactive displays bring together all local organizations who want to reduce the risks of problem gambling.

The program is designed to reach adults during March 2008.

Within Limits is an awareness program designed to ensure that people who choose to gamble have the information to make good decisions. The program focuses community attention on the risks of problem gambling, ways to limit those risks, realistic expectations of winning and losing, and where to get help if you have a problem.

The Responsible Gambling Council is an independent non-profit organization committed to problem gambling prevention. The RGC designs and delivers highly effective awareness programs and promotes the identification and adoption of best practices in problem gambling prevention through research and information dissemination. The Council was established in 1983 and is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion.
