CPRG Introduces the Newly Designed Online 2014-2015 Digest

May 27, 2016

The Canadian Partnership for Responsible Gambling (CPRG) is pleased to announce that the 2014-2015 Digest has been added to its newly designed searchable online Digest.

The Digest is now available as three sections so users can go directly to the data and/or information based on their interest:

  1. Legislation, Regulations & Policies
  2. Community Programs & Services, and
  3. Gambling Data & Statistics

Visit the website to view the entire 2014-2015 Digest, or use the Advanced Digests Search to select a preferred section, and from there select from a list of sub-sections that are of interest to the particular user. The Gambling Data & Statistics contains the ten most current years of data, while the other two sections have the most current year of information. Similar to previous years, all data and/or text in each year of The Digest pertain to a fiscal year covering April 1 through March 31 (unless otherwise stated).

Please download the How To Guide (pdf) to make the most of the data and information that is available via The Digest.

CPRG is a collaboration of non-profit organizations, gaming providers, research centres and regulators working to find and promote effective ways to reduce the risk of problem gambling. The Partnership actively promotes and supports research to increase understanding of responsible gambling behaviour. Many of the partners have established provincial research centres, institutes and other vehicles to fund research intended to describe, explain, predict and control problem gambling behaviour. Research aimed at controlling problem gambling behaviour focuses on prevention and treatment efforts and these include examining the effectiveness of responsible gambling initiatives designed to mitigate problem gambling.
