The Responsible Gaming Resource Centre (RGRC) located in OLG gaming venues across Ontario, reached a significant milestone at the end of June: 1 Million visitors have accessed its services.
Above Karl Barnard of Windsor learns more about the inner workings of a slot machine from RGRC staff member Amanda LaFlamme at an RGRC Open House event held this past weekend to highlight the RGRC services. Caesars Windsor is one of the founding RGRC locations, opening its doors in November 2005.
Since the launch of the RGRC, the Centres have been providing patrons with information on safer gambling, as well as assistance and referrals for help with gambling-related concerns. The Centres deliver prevention messages to patrons through conversations with its staff, community and RGC-produced literature, an interactive kiosk, a website, digital signage, and educational events.
All RGRCs are independently operated and staffed by the Responsible Gambling Council. There are currently 24 RGRCs at OLG Slots & Casinos and 13 RGRCs at OLG Charitable Bingo Gaming Centres across the province.
